Las Chingonas Entertainment
Las Chingonas Entertainment was founded in 2023, shortly after the first ever Midwest Chingona Fest in October of 2022. Founded by Fabiola Lomeli and Julia Carrillo, Las Chingonas Entertainment has quickly blossomed into a full force Latina movement for those wanting to embrace their inner Chingona. Our goal is to bring unique cultural events to the area, while uplifting women and celebrating small businesses. We host all types of events and have many more ideas we hope to bring to life in the coming years.
While Las Chingonas was originally the foundation for Midwest Chingona Fest, we have had the honor of hosting a multitude of other events including fundraisers, Christmas Toy Distributions, Midwest Tacos and Tequila Fest, and even collaborated to present the first ever Omaha Michelada Fest in 2023. Our latest collaboration has been the now yearly Midwest Tacos and Tequila Festival, started in 2024.
New in 2025- we are looking to get even more involved in our community through volunteer and charity work. LAS CHINGONAS COMMITTEE
When planning the first Chingona Fest on 2022, we quickly realized that this movement would go nowhere without the help of likeminded chingonas helping to pave the way. We put out a call for any and all women in the community that would like to be part of our history, as part of a sisterhood. Currently, Las Chingonas Committee is comprised of many hardworking, goal oriented latinas that volunteer their time to bring more cultural experiences to Omaha the surrounding areas.
We've crossed paths with dozens of women that want to be involved in the Chingona Movement. We wanted to create a space open to any women that wanted to be involved. Las Chingonas Committee has evolved into a volunteer and networking group in which the only requirement, is to be welcoming and inclusive of all other members. This group is the first to know about upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, and exclusive invitations to events throughout the year.
